Application
Acidic disinfectant for cleaning and disinfecting drinking water systems. The product's oxidizing properties effectively facilitate the removal of organic and inorganic material from water pipes, nipple lines, drinking cups, water troughs, reservoirs, etc. CID 2000 consists of 20% stabilized hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂), which is fully biodegradable into water (H₂O) and oxygen (O₂) in water. During this process, free radicals are formed, which effectively attack pathogens and dissolve biofilm. It is also suitable for acidifying drinking water during chick placement, which has a positive effect on the microbial environment in the chicken's gizzard.
Usage Instructions
For cleaning/disinfection of drinking water systems:
It is recommended to clean and disinfect with CID 2000 between all in - all out. Use CID 2000 in a 2% solution and fill the entire water system. It is essential to check the end of the nipple line to ensure the system is fully filled. Allow the product to work for a minimum of 4–6 hours. Then, thoroughly rinse the system with clean water, including any dosing equipment.
If the water pipes haven't been cleaned in a long time, it is recommended to first use an alkaline detergent, such as DM CID Pro or DM Clean Super, followed by CID 2000. Be sure to thoroughly rinse the system between applications to prevent any acid-base reactions. CID 2000 should not be used in conjunction with medications administered via drinking water, nor within 24 hours before vaccination. Only Teflon pumps should be used with dosing equipment to ensure proper handling.
For acidifying drinking water during chick placement:
During placement, it is recommended to target a drinking water pH of 5. CID 2000 can be used as an acidifier to lower the pH of the water. Lowering the pH in the drinking water will reduce the pH in the gizzard, which can help prevent the growth of harmful microbes, providing the best conditions for the chicks.
